querks770
I have a prebuilt Dell Inspiron 6400. A friend of mine who is an avid hacker has Tiger OSx (not positive which version) on his Dell lattitude (not sure of exact model) is helping me to install Tiger OSx as I'm sick of windows and all the viruses that accompany it (who isn't?) and I just wanted to get confirmation from a few of you experts on here as to the compatibility of Tiger on my system. The few technical details I could gather are as listed below: -Intel Core Duo Proc T2300E (1.66GHz/667MHz/2 X 1MB L2 Cache) -1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm -video card: 128MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1300 HyperMemory -Hard Drive: 120GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive -Optical Drive: 8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability -Wireless card: (internal) Dell Wireless 1390 802.11b/g Mini Card (54Mbps) -windows vista capable (if that even matters) Sorry if this information is insufficient, I will add whatever needs to be added if I'm notified. Thanks in advance for the assistance, Jake Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91623-dell-inspiron-6400-compatibility/ Share on other sites
Thao
From what I can see, you could run Leopard. If you're interested in Leopard, try a Kalyway or iATKOS install. If you're still wanting Tiger, from my experiences, the JaS 10.4.8 is the most stable and easy to set-up and run.
