jsmbennett
New member here... Anyway, I bought a Quicksilver G4 800Mhz with 512MB of RAM, and a 60GB HD for $150 on CL. I purchased on Newegg an XFX GeForce 6200 video card that I plan on flashing. However, I would like to stick another 512MB stick of RAM in there. Anything however that is "certified" costs usually 40+ dollars and because I am cheap, I would like to ask you guys if you know of the cheapest Mac-compatible 512MB PC133 stick on the internet. Thanks.

jsmbennett
Any PC133 ram will work in a quicksilver Actually it will not. I already have a PC133 stick 512MB from my old PC and it does not work. I tried a brand of Micron's from another old machine (also PC133) and it did not work. I emailed a few vendors online about their "market grade" PC133 sticks that cost 15-17 dollars. The two I have emailed so far say that they are not compatible. SticMAC™
Just remember LOW density if youre not sure, High density is VERY compatible with all PC's but not Mac low density is less compatible with all PC's but good in Mac's also more expensive!
