msantoso
hi everyone, Anyone knows how to bring Mail.app email content to iPhone? I want to be able to view my past few weeks of emails on my phone. Any software to make it possible? btw, using iTunes to just sync accounts and have to re-download the emails on the iPhone itself makes it a redundant task. Thanks. note: typing post n replies from iPhone slows down the keyboard response. Strange.
Berzerker
There is no way. The thing I suggest is to use IMAP so everything is synced out through the server. Just a reminder, any e-mail the iPhone downloads will not be deleted until a restore is put upon the phone, or if you delete it yourself, of course. Also, if the settings are backed up, the e-mails get backed up also, and are restored with an iPhone setting restore.
msantoso
Isn't IMAP an online viewing only? So everytime I want to view an email, it will try to connect to my mail server, right? Can I view it in offline mode if I've downloaded the email previously?
Berzerker
Ah, I see. And, still no, there is no way. the iPhone doesn't store any e-mails locally unless you are reading it. It will download the e-mail, then delete the files when you exit the e-mail. No way around it.
