nicholas1520
Hi Everyone! Every time I tried to install Leopard using the Kalyway 10.5.1 disc image I get the b0 error - I've read the tutorial on the osX86 wiki it hasn't work - but i was trying it by leaving selected the option I think pc_efi_guid or something similar there's 2 options one with GUID and MBR. I haven't tried the MBR option as yet, so I want to know before wasting a next 25 minutes installing Leopard with MBR and running the commands in the installer's terminal (from the osX86 wiki) will it work? P.S. I can't get the vanilla kernel to work, it just restarts . Sorry if I missed something in the forums showing how to resolve this but I honestly can't figure it out P.P.S Sorry, I doubled posted! Not a clue why Safari sent the request twice.. Thanks, Nicholas Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91376-b0-error/ Share on other sites
vietboi821
I used MBR option because I am dual booting and it has given me no problems. I think with GUID you have to format your hard drive a certain way... but I have not looked into it that much. nikonnut
the b0 error may be because your HDD is MBR formatted and you are selecting the GUID install option (I did the same thing first time around). When you get into the installer, go to disk utility and use the info button to see what format your HDD is and then select the correct install option as needed. Hope this helps.
