HI,

I have tried to boot my oxs installationm from the dvd using the F8 -s mode

this works and after about 5 minutes I am presented with a command prompt.

the problem is that the sudo command is then not working and showing and being unrecognised command.

I need to change some files and if I try and miss out this command I get the error message telling me some files are read only.

what am I doing wrong?

THanks

dont you have to boot into mac os install menu, and use Terminal from there? the menu where you choose the hd to install to. the menu bar appears at the top to choose disk utility for example. terminal is up there.

sorry if im incorrect, just some thoughts that came together frorm 4 days of my macosx hackintosh experience

you don't need sudo but you do need to mount your drive r+w

mount -uw /
