I have searched everywhere for this but have not seen any fixes for this yet. :P I have a toshiba a215-s7422. I have sucessfully loaded Zephyroth's AMD 10.5.2 and the system boots fine but takes a total of about 5 minutues to boot. Everything else is fine untill i get to this message "IOKitWaitQuiet() timed out waiting to write kernel symbols" and thats when it sits there. When booting the computer in "-x" safe mode the computer boots in about half the time and does not display the error anymore. Also, not sure if this effects it or not but i can not use any usb devices after booting into leopard, the only way i can use them is if i leave them pluged into the computer beore leopard starts. If you have and info about this at all, please post it. every little bit is aperciated.

Extra info just in case it matters:

Ati South Bridge 600

Internal Sata Harddrive

Realtek 8187b Wi Fi

Realtek HD Audio

I have the exact same model as you but I have had no success getting to the installer at all. I even tried Zeph 10.5.2. How did you manage to get yours to boot? Oh, and have you visited http://osx.kbot.de and asked Zeph himself about this error?

In order to get it to boot i just booted from the zeph leopard cd 10.5.2 and it detected the harddrive. I installed the extra VIA and SB chip drivers and mbr boot loader from the customize menu. Im also going to take your advice and report the error message to him. hopefully he has the answer.
