~pcwiz
The BX2 and the P35s have just about the same level of compatibility with OSx86, but I'd recommend P35 because its newer and supports new technologies like 45nm processors and 1333MHz FSB. Boot Camp
Ok, so the P35's are the way to go, but which one? Is the DS3R the best? Or are they all the same? On the wiki they all look equally compatible. EDIT: Does RAID work on the P35 Series? BOL_fan
I've never used the DS3R's RAID function (though I'm pretty sure you can set up a software array in Disk Utility), but it's one heck of a board. As long as you buy a SATA optical drive and enable AHCI, installing leopard is a breeze. I was deciding between what I have now and a Bad Axe 2 a couple of months ago, but with the DS3R you can use the cheaper (and faster) FSB 1333 processors. IDE doesn't work well, but my floppy drive does, along with all of my SATA stuff (in the orange ports).
