drunknbass
im curious if the included 10.5.1 update on the dvd includes a kernel or if kernel installation is done seperatly. im already patching the dvd for something else and wanted to replace the 10.5.1 update with his 10.5.2 comboupdate but im not sure the differences. im hoping i can just swap out packages for the 10.5.2 and then swap out the vanilla kernel and patched kernels he uses with the 10.5.2 kernel package he has and all will be good. westwaerts
kalyways 10.5.1 is a complete installer ( no update) kalyways 10.5.2 is only an update with no new kernel 9.2.0 is the appropriate kernel for 10.5.2 ( either vanilla, either netkas speedstep, etc.) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91008-kalyway-1051-questions/#findComment-649725 Share on other sites
drunknbass
yea but if you look through the osinstall.mpkg distribution file there is an option for a 10.5.1 upgrade ackage and its selected and hidden by default.
