Hi guys. I had starcraft installed on my system. I updated to 10.5.2 and when I go to open it, the application never opens and it just says quit unexpectedly. It gives me an illegal instruction error in the log. I tried removing and when I went to re-install, the installer just does the same thing. And of course, this problem is happening with warcraft 3 as well.

Is this a problem with carbon?

I just found this thread and have a similar problem. Previously ran Starcraft and Brood War (expansion pack) without problems on my iMac. Haven't played in a little while, but today, I tried to launch SC and it prompted me for my SC disk, so I inserted it. App just hung there, not doing anything. I could see that my Mac had mounted the CD, but the window with the 'insert CD' prompt remained. It has a cancel button and after a few minutes of nothing, I cancelled. Hmmm.

The disk is readable. I'm looking at the contents of my SC CD and it has 8 items. (They all look like pc files because these disks are the older ones.) Again, I've previously run this program - after install via the Mac specific installer. In fact, when I try to reinstall, the installer doesn't recognize the inserted CD either. I can see the Mac momentarily mount the CD, then it gets ejected again. puzzled.

It's not WC and the problem also exists with the installer.
