jake123
I have 10.5.2, and I just need to install a new mach_kernel which fixes the reboot/shutdown issues, does anyone know what I have to do to get it replaced, I already have netkas 9.2.0 kernel, and I'd like to install it. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90963-install-a-new-kernel/ Share on other sites

Thanks mach_kernel is on the root of your installation (invisible) so all you have to do is mv mach_kernel mach_kernel_old then place new mach kernel on root of your drive alternatively you can call the new kernel new_kernel and at boot press any key then type new_kernel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90963-install-a-new-kernel/#findComment-649223 Share on other sites
