Ive installed xp and partitioned the rest of the hdd as unformatted and ive tried installing kalyway 10.5.1 AND iAtkos_v1.0ir2 and neither of these installation disks reconize my hdd ( i also have 2 other hdd's and they dont get reconized) I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and can tell me how I might go about resolving this problem. 4core2dual-SATA2 Intel core2dual E4500 2.20 GHz 2 gig DDRII ram 667 Geforce 8600 gt 1 500 gig SATA 1 160 gig SATA (xp on 40 gig partition rest blank unformatted) 1 80 gig IDE 1 40 gig IDE (not connected) I'm not really interested in doin install on 2 seperate drives but right now it doesnt matter cause i cant get any drive to reconize excuse any grammar and spelling mistakes its been a long night/day Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90757-hard-drives-arent-reconized/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is a stevo 4.0 patch, but that adds device ID's for the 4coredual vsta chipsets and not the correct device ID's for our 4coredual sata2 chipsets. I am going insane. As far as I know those IDE drives should be showing up, its only SATA drives this board is having problems with. I am trying to install this on usb be drive jut to calm me own for a while. maybe then ican get SATA up and running and then clone the drive to the sata.
