Hardware tag: "DMG4 1GHZ DL/ 2M CACHE/ 512 SDRAM/ 80GB HD/ DVD-R/ CDRW/NV17 DUAL/ 56K MDM/ GIGE" What I need to do is find out how to asses the hardware remotely...is there a utility that I can run to see if it's worth investing in? i hooked it all up and the front light worked fine...and once I even heard the boot up sound! I don't know what I can do...Any help would be very apreciated! If that doesn't work, reseat the graphics card. If that doesn't work, hit the CUDA button for ten seconds and then take a walk. Falcon351 Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 If it shorts out in another machine, I'd say it's a problem with the drive. Whether the Mac's mobo caused this, or vice versa - hard to say. What happens if you power up the Mac without the hard disk?
