fresch
I have asked for this 3 times, but i have gotten no answer at all. Even though everyone else with an AC97 , seems to have it working fine! Where can i find a AC97 driver that works for Leopard, and a guide on how to install it? Thanks.. Its a MSI K8N-Neo4F , VIA Chipset i Think. im running Zeopohyr 10.5.2, om AMD. It worked out of the box partially, (Sound went on and off randomly), so i deleted the driver, and tried some other AC driver in here, and now its all {censored}ed up No sound, No driver installed. Tom F
Find out wich type of AC97 you have, find out your vender and device id. Download AppleAC97Audio.kext(search forum for it) modify it when your sound doesnt work (howto on wiki). Install .kext with "kext helper" if you dont know how to. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90664-ac97-audio-msi-mainboard-driver-for-1052-where/#findComment-648850 Share on other sites

Tom F
Alc850 could be yes. But since you dont ask friendly search on wiki all is explained there. fresch
i have searched Google, and Found out that someone used the Azaila_Out driver. I Tried that but after reboot, there was still no sound. everytime i press the "Vol Up" and "vol Down" button on my apple keyboard, an icon with a "Not Available" icon appears.
