hi

i have an hp laptop xt6200 - p4 1700 and 256mb

i have tried dding tiger-x86.tar.bz2 and installing the DVD (Mac OSX x86 10.4.3 build 8f1111 patched with Wesley's patch)

with the two methods i get the same, when it boots it loads so long and i can´t get into the system

what is wrong? the images? the patchs? or my system?

i would like to see mac os running :)

we might be able to help if you post more details. What chipset does your mother board use? Are you using a SATA hard drive? Maybe do a search on your computer model and post us a list of technical specs. I'm glad to help, but I can't go searching for your HP specs... :)

Otherwise check the wiki, and maybe try repatching your DTK image with the JaS patch instead of Wesleys? I don't know it that will make a difference. Good Luck. And search search search before you post :D

that's my laptop

well, this is how i have installed it:

i left 10gb free of my hd, then with diskpart i created a primary partition, type af

then i booted the dvd patched with wesley, i run the disk manager and i format the partition and i mount it to use it

then i install, everything ok

then it ends, i click on reboot

it boots onto mac osx because i activated the mac osx partition

it appears the grey screen with the spinning wheel, after a long long time, it appears a screen saying that i have to reboot, then i reboot, and the same loading screen taking a long time and doing nothing

i reset, i press f8 and i boot using -v -x, for verbose and safe mode

it hangs at disk0s2:I/O timeout

what should i do now?

i have searched a lot but i can`t find anything useful

sorry for my english and thanks by the replies

mmmmmm, I have heard of this, but never experienced it myself... Keep searching the forums (maybe search for reboot in title only in advanced search?) Hopefully someone else who knows more will post here.

thanks jbjonas

i've tried to boot with the install dvd on the drive and now it boots well, but then it appears the restart screen after loading mac os x

i've searched about it, and the solution appears to be deactivating the sound card, but i can`t do it in my bios
