Centrino Proccessors 1,6 vs 1,8

No such thing as a Centrino processor. Centrino is a platform, not a cpu. I'm guessing you're talking about a Pentium M, but they don't make a Banias core (1M cache) in 1.8 GHz. Now they do make a Dothan core (2M cache) in 1.6 GHz and also in 1.8 GHz. You sure you don't have those speeds reversed?

Given a choice between a Banias and Dothan the choice is easy. The Dothan is a far superior chip. It runs cooler and is faster than the Banias. Some people consider Dothan one of the finest mobile chips Intel even made.
