Pwned
Alright, I installed Darwine and got it to run on my Intel Core 2 Duo Mac. All of the sample programs run and everything works fine. Yes, I did install X11 as well, you have to. Anyways, I am trying to run this game called "Guild Wars" which is Windows-only on my Mac. I run it fine until I reach an error that says "the archive, Gw.dat, could not be located. Make sure it is accessible and no other program is using it (no other one is)",. How do I associate the obvious "Program Files" that contains the executable, with the .dat file itself? This is the file structure: "Program Files" which contains "Gw.exe, Gw.temp, Gw.dat" and there are two other folders in Program Files that don't matter. I am using Wine Helper and Darwine to open the file, obviously. The log says something technical about DLLs that I don't know enough about to remember and when I run it now, the error pops up, but nothing else is written anymore in the log. I am so angry, I wanted this to work...
Synaesthesia
mmm...for games, you should probably just use Boot Camp, maybe Crossover mac... Unfortunately games are hit or miss inside of Wine. Some games will install and run; some games will install ok but not run correctly; some won't even install; etc... ...However when it does work it's pretty cool. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=257083
Headrush69
Currently the OpenGL libraries are linking correctly in Wine (Darwine) so even if it installs it probably won't run the way you are hoping. Like Synaesthesia said, Crossover Office should work.
