Gujal
SSE2 and GUID are both not suitable for your system. You have to select MBR and your CPU is SSE3 so you dont need SSE2 patch. The last minute crash could be because it is trying to install EFI-GUID on your MBR disk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90572-help-with-hp-nx7300/#findComment-807529 Share on other sites
MartinK
I have a HP NX7300... I have the same comp. and didn't have that problem. it seems to me your install disk is wrong. try downloading again. after you do install, bare in mind that: 1. there's no solution yet to using the Wifi (intel 3945abg) 2. you'll need to find and install a patch that enables the speakers (but not headphones or mic, and the volume seems lower too) 3. it over heats. 60C is the temp I get most of the time. 4. there's no solution to using both cores. I would also ask you to never post a question like this again! it makes searching the forums very hard. try looking for any solutions regarding the dual core issue, and you end up with tons of questions like this one and 0 solutions. all that I've written here is available in the forums, but it gets harder to find the more posts like your are posted. hope this was helpful in some way, good luck searching the forums.
