kalyway
I used the Kalyway 10.5.2 noob-proof installer... It successfully installed, but now it won't boot... and the animated "circle" on the bottom of the apple logo keeps spinning and it freezes after around a minute. Anyone know a solution? Software Updater
I am greatly suprised you dont know. Just search the forums there are a few topics about this very same issue.
kalyway
Hmm. most of the topics here about people not being able to boot their leopards are because they used Software Update. I didn't.
Software Updater
Ah, me so sorry. I read your title and instantly went to that. Boot up in -v and see what it says. It just might need a minute or so.
kalyway
aite. my -v also gets stuck. the last line before it freezes is something about FireWire. hey wait, even if leopard does successfully work, and you boot up in -v, the last line before the desktop comes up is the FireWire one right? so my error is happening during the final stages of booting... Software Updater
The last line you see before the desktop is when it is loading the loginscreen. Does it say it can't detect the security and defaulting to full security?
kalyway
no. booting -v and the system freezes at the FireWire line, and booting normally; the "animated circle" on the bottom of the apple logo moves for around a minute after it freezes. Beaster
Seems that too many people are having these problems. I have this problem and I just used the default Kalyway 10.5.1 disc. My last line when I do -v is the firewire defaults security like Software Updater said, but then it goes into the GUI with the apple logo and the spinning disc. And this happens with DVD or HDD boot.
