blackhole005 Posted February 25, 2008 Share Posted February 25, 2008 I'm running 10.5.2 and just tried installing MATLAB on my machine. The installer went fine, the licensing went fine, but when I try and actually run the app, no dice. The splash screen displays for a second, disappears, and I get a window titled X11 that looks a lot like Terminal. (a) What is X11? ( Any ideas on how to fix this? vinlar Posted February 25, 2008 Share Posted February 25, 2008 X11 is a widely used windowing system for UNIX graphical interfaces, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X11 The window you get with an X11 title indicates that you have X11 installed on your Mac. The crash might be an incompatibility between your version of MATLAB and Leopard. My only advice is to make sure you have the latest version of MATLAB and check their forums for tips.
