w8ndc Posted February 23, 2008 Share Posted February 23, 2008 I just bought one dell inspiron 531 (AMD 5000+, ATI 2600xt, should be compatible). However, I'm not sure about the motherboard. When I boot from the installation DVD, it can not find the SATA harddisk and never goes into installation. So I think it is probably the motherboard problem. Can anyone give me a solution? agent-squirrel Posted February 23, 2008 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Depends what controller is in charge of the SATA drive. Leopard seems to have trouble with SATA on nForce chipsets.
