In an attempt to make my PC more Windows/Mac and Linux friendly. Im trying to buy hardware that will work in both. Just found this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-Wireless-Card-fo...7QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone used it? If so, any good?

Ive noticed the reciever strength is 2db below the one i currently have when running at 54mbps. Will that make a difference? Its frequency range is also lower. But it works on Mac, not just linux and windows like the one i currently have.

I got 3 dongles that works great:

1. edimax based on ralink rt250x rt73 driver... online on it now (just dl driver from site)

2. alfa based on realtek rtl8187l works great (dl from site, kalyway comes with it)

3. zydas zd1211b (now atheros) .. works great (dl from site)

all of them works in mac/linux... and inside vmware

GREAT =D

Bro, I cant test it now.. my zydas is with my girlf .

I know it worked in iatkos.. but im using kalyway now (faster and stable in my pc)

But it may has something to do with the 10.5.2 IONetworking update. Dunno whats going to happen now that zydas doest exist anymore. Or atheros release a new working one or the community.
