rubbish.can
I am not sure if this is possible in OSX but I am trying to associate a particular icon to a file type. The problem is that the file type isn't associated to any application. In Windows I thought it was possible to just add file extension and associate an icon (i could be wrong but its similar to that). For example I have file extension '.abc', which isn't and never will be a file type of a program installed. I would like any file of that extension have a particular icon. Does anyone know how to do this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89060-help-changing-icon-of-unknown-file-type/ Share on other sites
westwaerts
go to info of the file ( right mouse menu > info) there you find an open with option, choose the app you want, and click open all docs of the same type option.
