vaporATX Posted February 21, 2008 Share Posted February 21, 2008 I just picked up a Sound Blaster Live 24bit usb external to solve the output only sound issues with the ADI AD1988B on my P5K-E. What a nice and cheap fix. I picked it up for $35 bucks and it is fully supported natively. I have analog 5.1 output, Optical and SPDIF digital outs, and analog input. All works peachy. The only problem I had was I had to tick the output mute checkbox on and than off again in sound prefs to get it to work when I first plugged it in. Sounds so excellent to have digital output into my stereo system. That Soundmax card sounded like such {censored}.
