sebus
I read almost all the post that relate to same/simmilar problem. Tried many suggestions - none worked. So I will ask. 10.4.8/9/10/11 all worked with no problem Yet 10.5.1 (iATKOS and Kalyway tried so far) will install OK on Dell Dimensions 5150, but on reboot No bootable device found BIOS is latest available, DVD is Pata1, HD is SATA1 (also tried on SATA2, same error) If the DVD is left in the drive the hackintosh boots (at least iATKOS 1.0i) fine. There is nothing available in Startup Disk app. Tried MBR & GUID installs (so far six times) Anybody has another suggestion? Thanks sebus Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88921-hd-not-bootable/ Share on other sites
MacNutty
There might be a problem that it is not able to find the info in the boot sector of your disk Try this: boot with -s option at the command prompt do this fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 flag <partition number> e.g. flag 1 write update quit reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88921-hd-not-bootable/#findComment-635297 Share on other sites
