MacBookJoe
I have 3 partitions on a single hard drive 60gb, 60gb, 110gb. I installed Kalyway on the first partition and updated to 10.5.2 i had it at this stage for a few days all working well. Then I downloaded Carbon Copy and cloned my first Partition to my second partitioned. rebooted. Now i just get a blinking under score.. on screen. has my clone killed my EFI? how do i fix this? J. QuietOC
Then I downloaded Carbon Copy and cloned my first Partition to my second partitioned. has my clone killed my EFI? how do i fix this? Probably. Just reinstall OSX on the partition you want to use. That worked for me. You might want to make a backup/copy of your Extensions folder before reinstalling. supernov
Not necessary. Just use fdisk -e, re-install EFI, bless the partition and you should be fine. If you don't have a bootable osx anymore to do it from, use the DVD. MacBookJoe
I tried fdisk, but i found no guides online or IRC to talk me though the installation of EFI, I ended up re-installing OSX on one of the partition which then installed EFI giving me back my bootloader allowing me back into my second partition which was up to 10.5.2. How can i clone my working 10.5.2 partition to my new install of 10.5.1? without killing me EFI? J.
