Kernel panic on Kalyway install (P5GL-MX)

I feel like I'm missing something simple here. I am trying to install Kaylway on an ASUS P5GL-MX board (915GL w/ ICH6), but I get a kernel panic when it tries to load the IOAHCI kext. I've tried adjusting about all BIOS options that I can find to no avail. It doesn't seem to have an option to choose AHCI or not in BIOS.

 

Btw, I have a SATA HD on SATA1 and a SATA DVD-ROM on SATA2.

 

Anyway, is anyone having trouble installing on one of these older ICH6 board?

I had a similar problem. I think it's still a bios setup issue. Probably some setting dealing with your sata stuff. I was using all p-ata and had some settings set to sata features. I had to compare my bios with this one here and adjusted mine to sort of match. Then I disabled some of the sata stuff.
