Vista Tweaking

Does anyone have any programs that I can use to help increase vista's speed and tweak it and possibly some manual tweaks too?

Vista optimizers are a dime a dozen out there, but there are a couple good ones you can try like:

This is a great all-in-one manager/optimizer. If you're looking to buy a good Vista tweaker, get this one.

Another great all around tweaker, except this one offers a free Basic edition (NOT a trial).

This is much cheaper than Vista Manager, so if you can't spend a lot on Vista Manager, and want something more than TweakVI, get this.

Here's another great freebie called RegToy. It's a floppy sized app that deals with hidden settings/tweaks for XP and Vista. Note that .NET Framework 2.0 is required. Get it here: http://kynam.us.to/

 

Oh, and the native language is in Vietnamese, so you'll have to manually set it to English.

Look for the Longhorn 4074 Tweak guide by Chris123NT. Most of the things there apply to vista and really do make a difference except for the reg hacks
