Figuring many people here have failed installing the 10.5.2 update, you might have stayed back at the original 10.5 or the slightly newer 10.5.1. For some very idiotic reason bumped the requirement for Aperture 2.0 to 10.5.2. I want me my Aperture NOW!!!

Requirements:

I. Aperture 2.0 (Trial/Full = Same Thing)

II. Pacifist (Latest Version)

Pacifist is required because it can bypass requirements...

Walkthrough

1. Mount your Aperture 2.0 disk image or find your package.

2. Fire up Pacifist and browse to your package:

3. Click on the "Contents of ApertureTrial.mpkg" and click install.

4. Let Pacifist do its magic. If it asks to replace any files then do so.

5. Now navigate to Aperture in your Applications and launch it.

6. Yes, I did that purposely so you would see the error. Now let's fix it. Please navigate to Aperture in your applications but don't launch it.

7. Right click on Aperture and click "Show Package Contents"

8. Navigate to Contents and then Resources. Look for a file called minsys.plist.

9. Open the file with TextEdit and where it says 10.5.2 change it to 10.5 and save.

10. Launch Aperture and enter registration information

If you followed al my instructions carefully this should be your outcome:
