lit Posted February 10, 2006 Share Posted February 10, 2006 just loaded 10.4.3 8f1111 on my acer 4210 core duo and it loaded great but the LAN/WiFi and sound does not work . anyone know how i might be able to get it to work? Mr. Bond Posted February 10, 2006 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Well... I'm assuming that sound is Intel Integrated. You might be able to use this to get sound working. As for your network card, judging by the Hardware Compatibility lists on the Wiki, it doesn't seem to be listed. Still, that doesn't mean it might not work. As a side note, you might want to download 10.4.4 (Arrr...maybe you can check that tharr Bay of Pirates), as there are a number of new kexts that may help add suport for some of your hardware! lit Posted February 13, 2006 Author Share Posted February 13, 2006 i fought this in another forum i havfe not tried it yet but they said they got the sound to work http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...ic=8864&hl=acer as far as the graphic are concern they can handle two HD 780P movies without dropping a frame that is something my MAC MINI can not do it has trouble playing ONE HD780p with dropping a frame in quicktime so i would recommend this laptop to anyone!!! the only thing left to try and get it to work is Wifi, and maybe if someone can get it to duel boot too give us a update on this. I have been thinking of getting that same machine. Does the gpu support quartz and ci?
