I have searched this board high and low and I am still stuck. I have managed to get everything installed and working without asking a single question. My only questions now is:

Has anyone gotten the sleep function, including wake, to work on the P5B with 10.5.1 or 10.5.2? If so, what was necessary to accomlish this?

I would appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks.

System:

P5B Deluxe Wifi

C6600 (oc'd to 3.0)

2 gb

150 SATA raptor (Vista)

36 SATA raptor (OS X)

500 SATA Hitachi (Storage)

Onboard sound

ATI 1950 Pro

Everything else works, shutdown, restart, sound, video, network, time machine, everything...

except for sleep!!!

Sorry for the lack of info..

I installed the vanilla kernel, installed as MBR, with EFI_MBR

After install, I installed Bonya's x1950pro leo drivers for video. Also installed portion's of Mistico's P5B package for sound and Jmicron for my external sata drive.

That ran just fine for a couple weeks. Still couldn't get sleep working; screens slept, but the PC fans and lights never shut down. and I couldn't wake it up. Had to hard reboot.

when 10.5.2 was released, I installed Kalyway's 10.5.2 comboupdate. and the new kernal. I then installed the graphics update on the software update. I then installed the latest version of Bronya's x1950 drivers for 9c31 (10.5.2)

This is where I am at now. Still unable to sleep and resume, same as with 10.5.1.

  • 2 months later...

i have sleep on a p5b with kalyways 10.5.1 updated to 10.5.2, kernelupdate 9.2.0, leopard graphics update 1.0, timemachine + airport update ( kernel 9.2.2) and sleep works automatic and put asleep, restart works sometimes, shutdown hardly ever. without the azalia sound fix i had everything working, maybe its there. but i cant tell you the exact secret to get it to work.
