I had installed succesfully a 10.4.1 osx86 version on my toshiba satellite pro 6100 getting involved with tricks and tuning the system. I downloaded the 10.4.3 8f1111 DVD image, converted to iso, applied the Jas Generic patch 4.2b and burn it. Then i tried to installon on my new HP pavilion dv8002ea AMD Turion 64 based notebook. When i boot the DVD appears the grey logo with the apple and after few minutes an error message inside a box in many languages. (that happened on my mac mini sometimes!) I tried to boot in verbouse mode to see wath happened, but nothing usable. I read about the "mach_kernel.nonx" option but i don't know how to apply it at the iso or as the dvd boot up. I don't understand if my problem are related to the video controller (ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M) or to the chipset. Anyone can help me? mismamente Posted February 9, 2006 Share Posted February 9, 2006 You need to apply also the Jas ADDON patch to enable the Ide controler (Ati x200), and then works fine. I have a HP pavillion dv8050 and works fine, but ati graphics card detected as vesa only, I have not tried any drivers for the card, and sound not working, but Wireless runs very well after installing kext for the broadcom. Anyone knows if the graphics card(ati x200) can work using ATI drivers? and the sound?
