one or two cores?

Hi, I'm having trouble figuring out how many cores are activated. Ihave AMD turion 64 X2 @ 1.6

please answer only if you are 100% sure I know in sysctl it says 2 cores but it seems complicated...maybe sysctl is reporting this and then one core is turned off?

 

My system is kinda slow...

its quite simple. open activity monitor, and if you see two graphs in "cpu usage" your hackintosh works with two cores.

Thanks for the interest but please i need more help.

Activity monitor shows only one cpu, but as you see sysctl sais:

 

hw.activecpu=2

 

this is important to me because i spent a week configuring my osx86 in order to try/buy logic pro, which would not ever run on only one cpu...

 

can activity monitor be wrong?

 

anyone else with amd turion 64x2??
