CHRTEK-Network CNT - Developing Posted February 8, 2006 Share Posted February 8, 2006 (edited) EDIT: Removed content violating DMCA Ok the system configuration: Intel Pentium Mobile 4 3,06Ghz (SSE,SSE2,SSE3,PAE and other x86 stuff, like MMX...) 512MB SO-DIMM 333Mhz Samsung ram (CL2.5) Fusjitsu 40GB 4200U/min harddisk (silenc mode deaktivated with support tools) Pioneer DVR-K14 DVD+-/CD RW drive Realtek AC97 conform soundcard ATI Radeon Mobile 9200 64MB DDR (Yes an real 9200Chip with full 8x AGP support, motherbaord use it) 3x NEC USB 2.0 controller PCMCIA Texas Instruments PCI7420 Realtek 8139 100/10Mbit ethernet card Texas Instruments OHCI conform IEEE 1394 (FireWire400) Ali M5229 PCI Busmaster (IDE controller) ACPI Bios Phonix LTP ECP parallelport Ok bevor Tiger comes to me, i backuped all my files on my network gatway (the once system with enougth free harddisk ) Than i boot with Microsoft Windows 98 cd-rom and delete every patention with fdisk. I booting from Mac OSX Tiger 10.4.3 8f1111 DVD (patched to 8f1111a with JAS 4.2) Now the installation starting (with NTFS patention osx setup hang up...) (boot install with -v) I create a 20GB patention for OSX on hda as hda1 (First IDE, Master, Patention one) other 20GB for windows and linux... I have install OSX without problems... You have nothing to do only install osx and that's the deal After OSX installation everythink running ok, yea Ati driver not the best i know but give time for developing... Take ThinkerTools System for Intel Tiger and use an agressiv Quarz Extrem detection (run's with opengl cards that's support Quartz Extreme but OSX doesn't like them...) Thats everything for this time! Darsil Posted March 26, 2006 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Hi! Could you please tell me what driver is your system using for HDD access? I have the same ALi 5229 IDE Controller, but after the initial booting process OS X doesn't seem to find the disk and the HDD light stays on forever, with the PC absolutely frozen...
