eJunky
same problems here i tried formatting from the start with a partition for kalyway. 40gbs. ran 10.5.1 kalyway sse2 sse3 iso. Installed with vannila, vannilla fix and with MBR efi (cause im MBR) no avail...restart loop (this is apparentyl due to the CPU:Execute disable function needing to be ENABLED - but we can access ANYTHING like that in our NC6000 bios's - its like a bios for dumbasses...with big blue buttons...no customizing at all, just boot order and some information) installed JaS 10.4.7 with combo update INTEL and sse2. Worked nicely (apart from mouse artifacts) then tried installing leopard 10.5.1 kalyway sse2 disk again. this time over top of JaS 10.4.7. I did NOT select ANY vannila this time, and NO efi bootloader, just sse2....No luck get something like this: eBios error: Device Timeout block (the number) Sector 64 Unless you know how to edit the settings of " CPU:Execute disable function" from maybe windows, or some hack then it's looking pretty dim Please, somone help us! flwthecoop
Yes I too have spun my wheels trying to get Kalyway 10.5.1 Leopard up and running on my HP nc6000. I believe I have tried most every combo in the customize section. This much I think I know: vanilla is not for us (SSE3 only), none of the video is for us (we are ATi 9600), none of the soundcards either(we are some form of AC97 Conexant) and the network aint us too (we are Broadcom=LAN, Atheros=wireless)... I have tried GUID w GUID_efi and MBR w MBR_efi, nope on both.... I have tried w and w/o SSE2 option, no difference. I have tried all the switches (ie. -x , -v, -s , -f) no dice yet again.... I have not read thru all 112 pages of Kalyway Leopard forum sticky but pretty darn close. I have yet to see anyone say they are up and running w a NC6000. Doesn't look too good boys and girls! Back to a working Tiger 10.4.11 for me I guess?????
