thepcdoc
I blew my working installation installing 10.5.2 on my vanilla/guid/efi install using the tutorial posted yesterday. I formatted my drive and decided to do a clean Kalyway install with the following options GUID/Vanilla/EFI. Everything installs fine. If the system reboots with the DVD in I get System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found. If I boot with no DVD in the drive it comes up with no boot drive. I am in desperate need of help and need to get this back up and running tonight. Any help would be appreicated. I did the normal thread searches but nothing fits what I am ging through Thanks in advance for any help provided.
BJMoose
I don't have your problem but it sounds like you may not have set your partition to active or you didn't properly set up EFI for GUID. On my system, I have found (even though many say it isn't always necessary) it better to install efi 8, then efi 7.x, and then efi 8 once more. To set the partition active, from terminal type: fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX (where X = your disk primary id) update f 2 (where 2 is the boot partition's id...e.g. mine is disk0s2) w (type 'y' when it asks if you want to reboot) q reboot
kae
I have the same problem on my Badaxe2. Used the diskutility to partition disk with GUID, created 2 partitions. Installed Kalyway, but when booting up I get the same messages as OP. Inserted install-cd agan and tried to activate the partition from the Terminal, but still no go. thepcdoc: Did you solve your problem ? Kae.
