chevy2410
What happens when you type just -v at the prompt? Some people have reported that ide drives don't work. Now that's not the case with me. I have an LG dvd burner and works great. Have you ever had OSX86 installed on that system before? If you are going to use ide drives with OSX86 make sure that the dvd drive is set to master and the hard drive set to slave on the same ide ribbon. On some mobo's I've used the secondary ide never works. They both have to be on the primary ide. What graphics are you using? Need more info. Also how do you Enable HPET on my motherboard, I don't know where that option is. Take a look through your mobo's manual and it should tell you, if you have that option. surenix
Ok, I tried to re-burn the iso with a different DVD-R Meida (Memorex) and now it got the Leopard installation screen (used: -v -x cpus=1) After I followed the installation process and used custom install and selected all the option on the customize option. it started to install and when it reached the end it said OS X Installation is complete with the green check mark, then the computer when to a black screen with text then restarted. After the computer restarted, I took out the Leopard installation DVD to let it boot to the Hard drive, but when it booted from the hard drive I get a black screen with this error message "b0 error" Why is that? what did I do wrong? btw, this is the first time OS X is being installed, and my graphic card is nVidia Geforce 7600GT Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87275-help-installing-leopard-on-a-pc-with-kalyway/#findComment-621295 Share on other sites
chevy2410
I'm pretty sure you don't need to add the -x, cpus=1. Try and boot that install dvd again with just the -v. If you get by that way then do another install. What are choosing MBR or GUID? That might make a difference with your setup. BTW the b0 error is common. Do a search and you will find the answer. surenix
When I used GUID I get the bo error message but when I used MBR I just get a black screen with white blinking cursor. chevy2410
OK you never stated that mobo is an Nforce chipset. Man you are in for a world of hurt. You might want to check out these links and see if it will work for ya. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=69705 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=73199 The b0 error usually mean that you need to set the OSX partition active and the flashing cursor in the left corner is the same thing. Good luck, let us know how you are making out.
