J0~than Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 hi, I'm new with osx tigerx86, just wanna ask, I got a prob with jas os x tiger 10.4.7. I was boot my jas os x 10.4.7 and i got a problem, it was said that I0ATA Bus/disk(i forgot) controller, and it waiting for devices, i just wait and wait, and my monitor is full with word, waiting for devices. And I can't install mac now in my pc. My PC Spec: Intel pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ (631) socket 775 LGA Instructions: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, EM64T mainboard: asus P5PE-VM memory RAM 1024 mb chipset intel i865P/PE/G/i848P VGA: pixelview, NVidia G-Force FX 5200 and that's my pc spec. boba899 Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 That's a pretty alright PC, so try a later DVD. At least go for JaS 10.4.8, that's the most stable, or maybe try XxX 10.4.11, or even the Leopard Kalyway disc. They'll have updated IOATA kexts that might solve the problem. boba899 Posted February 13, 2008 Share Posted February 13, 2008 Not quite sure what you mean. You have tried the Leopard iAtkos DVD? Or you want to? Try iAtkos first if that's the one you have, then the other if that doesn't do it. I personally prefer Kalyway though, seems to have better support. I can upgrade to osx leo 10.5.1 easily? What's I0ATA kexts means? sorry, to many question, i'm still new. I managed to install osx tiger at vmware, but it's really slow.
