Do it Yourself .mac

So, I followed the directions and I can load my iDisk, but I get "There's a problem connecting to the iDisk server at this time" when I click on the iDisk .mac preferences tab. Has anyone gotten this working with 10.4.4? I see no error messages in httpd-error.log and there are no invalid certificate warnings when I load https://www.mac.com or https://idisk.mac.com in Safari.

Yep, I already noticed it, and its a pity, since its was really practical for me. The funniest thing is that it is not a .mac problem, cause I also have macs, and AFTER LATEST SECURITY UPDATE, iDisk works again for them too (it had stopped orking for them too). Latest security update contains rsync update, but I think this has to do more with the way iDisk works inside OSX. I used to have a copy of iDisk on my desktop, and when all this began, all it said was there was an error, and that I had to connect to the internet first to update and sync files (I have cable, pretty difficult for me not to be connected to the internet).

Two solutions,

* download GOLIATH until some guru here do something. :D

* stop using iDisk. :)

* Update and pray it does work afterwards. OSX86 stopped working after unstalling latest security update, so you can always, you know, Plug 'n' Pray.

The saddest part of this all is that Apple - or this iDisk stuff - is reminding me of Microsoft more and more.

Whatever.
