rick3121
I'm trying to get my GForce 8400 GS card to work (yes i know it has problems i'm just testing packages untill i get the right one) with the MacDOtNub 10.4.10 install. I can boot just fine but with a res of 1024x768 and my 6200 GForce card works fine (1280x1020 with full support). Anyway, the question I have is if I install a package that does not agree with my systems config then how do I remove that package without installing fresh all over again. Is there something I can do in terminal or before boot to remove the package. Sorry it is a noob question but any help would be greatly appreciated. westwaerts
if you open the package in pacifist, you see the tree, where and what was installed. most of them ( especially drivers) are installed in sytem > library > extensions delete it and repair permissions. ( password required) more komfortable is kext helper b7 a little app for installing kext files, repair permissions and rebuild of extensions (mkext) you can use it also only for repairing permissions ( advanced options) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/86530-how-do-i-remove-a-package-after-install/#findComment-614303 Share on other sites
