Well here is my issue,

When i use the Kalyway DVD it begins booting Darwin X86 and then when it finishes (or gets stuck) it simply reboots and we have the same situation all over again, a reboot cycle

With the Iatkos DVD it begins the Darwin X86 and quite quickly goes to the greay screen with the Mac logo and the loading symbol beneath it, however it just stays there for ever and never boots further -_-

about 10 mins ago i tryed with the Kalyway DVD again and i got the:

"System config file '/com.apple.boot.plist' not found"

BUT i have been past this point many time before as that is why i purchased the SATA DVD drive!!

and now its back to this!

:P

Any help would be GREATLY apreaciated

Thank You,

Tom

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Unfortunatley i cannot tell you which file it is since it loads so quickly and i dont have time to tell what was the last file:(

I have heard of this happening before so there should be some solution, yeah????......maybie...

i hope...

Thanks

Hi

How did you burn your install DVD ?

DVD-R or RW ? (rw is not working most of the time)

Could you eventually burn it on a mac with Disk Utility?

have you an option to AHCI in the bios?

ich8 and 965 chipset is very compatible with Leopard

i have got a 100% working system (better than my P35_DS3P) with an Intel DQ965gf and 7600GT Sparkle

As you have a LG ide dvd you also may try to put in a external usb box and boot from after told the bios to boot first on (if you've got the option)

last recomendation if you are new : do not manage with partition use a entire disk for macosx and unplug all others windows disks before install

yeah, I had this issue (not with the same hardware though).

What I did was a bit fiddly: I booted into Tiger, and used CC-Cloner to copy the Kalway disk onto a spare hard-drive. Then booted from that hard-drive, installed on my main drive, and it all worked.

The problem is that the Leo distros are very picky about DVD drives. Work fine from IDE hard-drives though

Hi, i am trying all the things you have said,

The DVD is DVD-R and works fine when i boot it using my laptop

Yes i have the option of using AHCI

However after trying this no change in reaction... on my other old computer it does exactly the same but the iATKOS Boot disk works....... hmm

Should i try burning the DVD at a slower rate??

xiberia:

I have also tried booting with a 10.4.10 disc and the same it is the same when using the kalyway 10.5 disk..

mister_doodi:

You mentioned that you have a possibe sollution....... and what might that be????

thanks

im really confused, i just want it to work.. will there be a version 2 of any of these cracked versions that will be better???/

Thanks and any help is appreciated :thumbsdown_anim:
