I get all the way to the Apple Logo and the spinning circle, after about 10-20 seconds I get the "No Access" symbol (O with a \ Across it), but yet, the circle keeps spinning...no harddrive activity, no DVD-ROM activity....i got it from The Bay....

SPECS:

Toshiba Satellite L35-S2161

Intel Celeron M 1.46Ghz CPU (CPU-Z did show SSE, SSE 2 and SSE 3)

512MB RAM

64MB ATI Radeon Xpress 200M video (although when it boots it says "VESA v2.0 16MB")

Okay, i downloaded iATKOS 1.0i R2 from another site and it actually takes me to the install screen, but it gets to where it the point of "Select Destination" and it shows NO harddrives...Disk Utility doesn't either.....I've got another harddrive somewhere around here that is compatible with this machine and I'll try it later if i can't figure out something.....

No RAID setting on this laptop at all....and it's a Celeron M....so it's not Dual-core....Kalyway won't get past the spinning circle and Apple symbol and the iATKOS wont' recognize the harddrive, i just assume it's got an imcompatible Chipset....i connected a USB card reader just to see if it would work with ANYTHING and it does pick up my card reader...so my disk isn't totally screwed

your dvd drive on that Toshiba Laptop is not supported by OSx86 or OSx86 has known problems with the ATi Radeon Xpress 200M Chipset. My teacher has a similar laptop it is a ASUS A6Rp Intel Celeron M 1.79GHz Yonah Core SSE2/SSE3, 512MB DDR2 533, ATi Radeon Xpress 200M Chipset 60GB HDD, DVD-CDRW Combo Drive, 15" XGA TFT LCD, When I tried to boot up from the DVD, IT display with the grey apple logo and after about 2mins, there is no DVD Drive activity and I have problem just like you. The prefect OSx86 Laptop on my Experience is the Acer Aspire 4310, specs: Intel Celeron M 530 1.8GHz, 512MB DDR2, 80GB SATA HDD, DVD-RW Works fine it boots, Broadcom wireless lan 802.11a/b/g works and osx86 detects it as an airport extreme, Broadcom Gigabit ethernet, burning of dvd works even cd, EFI and vanilla kernel working.

how were you able to get the broadcom gigabit(5787 right?) to work on your acer 4310 hack?
