JHook204
I'm new to the osx86 scene and need a little help. This is my first install and I'm and trying to install uphuck 10.4.9 install DVD v1.4i r2 I am using a Athlon 64 3000+ Venice core TUL ATI Radeon xpress 200p chipset 1Gb DDR 400 SDRAM my problem is the install stops at "Apple16x50UARTSync2: Detected 16550AF /C/CF FIFO=16 MaxBaud= 115200" I was wondering if anyone had any advice before I gave up on an OSx86 install on this system. Reveeen
Not really "help", just a kind of linking together what others have found/are encountering, I find myself in a bit of the same boat, and not really sure I like it. With me, I did an install to an old Acer P4 computer I pulled from a dumpster, a "dumpster Mac", so to speak. http://www.acersupport.com/desktop/html/v7200_specs.html Working so well, other than being "bog slow", I looked around here for something a bit faster to install to. All I have available to me (lying around not doing much) is an ATI chipset board, and a SIS chipset board, neither one really a worthwhile candidate. So you are not alone! Eddie Turfboer
uphuck 10.4.9 install DVD v1.4i r2 Athlon 64 3000+ Venice core Well, the i in the uphuck release says it is an intel only version and you are trying to install it on a AMD. Use the 'a' version instead.
