Ongeloof
OK, so i wanna buy an iPhone. I have just watched the iPhone activation video on Apple.com/support and it shows you how to activate an iPhone through iTunes. With this in mind, i could go down to the o2 store, and buy on of these puppies... without putting in my address or whatever, and walk out of the shop without it on a contract. This shows you how to get onto safari on an inactivated iPhone.... now could i download Appsnap or anySIM to the iPhone home screen and install it without actually activating the iPhone? If this is true, you can buy the iPhone without its contract... get anySIM and {censored} off o2..! Can it be done? If yes, i rush to the Apple Store, if no, i stay with my Samsung D500... skyhighmac
You should be able to but I'm not 100% sure on exactly how to do it though. You could then, pop out your sim on your phone (unlocked sim of course) and then pop it in the iPhone. The only thing is, I would wait until the 3G iPhone is out (WWDC?) so you can get some nice data speeds. Disclaimer: I HAVE NOT DONE ANY OF THIS!
