Hi,

My macbook wont boot, so i need to reinstall os x. However, my combo drive isn't working and i dont have another mac available to me, just a box running ubuntu. I have an iso image of the dvd, but i need to clone it to a partition on my external drive to use it. Im assuming I use dd for this, but when I tried to use it, it didnt show in my boot choices on my mac. is there a way to clone the iso to a partition so I can boot the install off of it?
