Amon Duul
Installed 10.4.5 to the slave of my Pavilion dv9385ea and the fan doesn't work. Is this a problem with 10.4.5 or my laptop? Do I have to patch the BIOS? Will it work with 10.4.8 JaS? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85588-fan-isnt-working-on-hp-laptop/ Share on other sites

Guest
You may want to try Mac OS X JaS 10.4.8... it includes more patches as well as updates which are useful and may fix your problem. Unfortunately i don't know how to fix your problem directly on the version you are using. Slinger2g
It could be a cpumanagement, fan or thermal kext. It's been some time since the rave of 10.4.5...... You'd have to search the forum or the wiki on your specific hardware. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...0.4.5/Portables Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85588-fan-isnt-working-on-hp-laptop/#findComment-608554 Share on other sites
Lactobacillus P
10.4.5 is a bit too old to be trying out right now. JaS 10.4.7 or higher should be something to try.
