davidmjj
Hello everyone! I finally intalled my Hack Leopard on my laptop after many failed tries. Everything is working except the wireless (I have an Intel/PRO wireless 3945 abg card) but this is not the main point of my post (thoug, if you can help me with the driver, that will be great!) The thing is that the only way that I have to start the system is with the intallation Kaliway DVD in my laptop. If I don't put it in, the system never starts (I only see a black screen with a promt line). Do you guys know why? Is there any way to fix it? I normally use Hackintosh from my USB drive, but since I have to use the DVD to start the system, I'm not able any more to do that. Thank you guys for your colaboration. markw63
OK: The Kalyway 10.5.1 will install a bootloader for you: I have a windows XP partition and then a 8GB MAC partition and I can boot from either with no fiddling other than my original DVD install. Did you choose GUID and format GUID partition or did you choose MBR and format MBR in Disk utility on the DVD? If you choose MBR then you select the EFI MBR on Customise and it should all tick through If you formatted as GUID (which would have been the whole disk), you select EFI GUID There is no 3945abg driver - see Wireless in the Genius bar Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85465-why-do-i-need-leopard-dvd-to-start-my-system/#findComment-608426 Share on other sites
ceew
Make sure your partition is a primary one For a dual boot system I had both partitions as primary Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85465-why-do-i-need-leopard-dvd-to-start-my-system/#findComment-749411 Share on other sites
