the only thing missing on my desktop amdx2 10.5.1+efi_v8 is the second core.

this problem was already persistent in tiger. if i do not use "cpus=1" the system

starts up fine, but eventually crashes, preferably after much disk-i/o usage.

has anyone some idea how to enable both cores?

where is the problem stemming from? is it .kext's? or kernel?

any help is appreciated, thanks!
