JCsHands
I have OS X running and I love it, but I was wondering if it is possible to have a login sound. I know that back in the day, System 7 and 8 I was able to add a sound file to the startup items folder and it would play as soon as I turned on the computer, but in OS X it doesnt appear to act the same way. So I was wondering if someone has been able to get a sound to play when you login to your account? I tried adding a midi, wav and mp3 file to the login items, but it launches iTunes or Quicktime. SticMAC™
You can try this webpage maybe it will work for you? its says the sound wont work on the first bootup after install but only on the second(dont lock the application), I have rebooted 4 times and still no sound! Luckily there is a uninstall with it!
