I tried doing this before on my own and just ended up with a DVD that shows tha apple logo and nothing else after hours.... I downloaded Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2] as it seemed to fit the specs for my laptop, having an AMD athlon 64... Im currently on ubuntu, with all my {censored} burining to a backup DVD. I'm also stepping out to get some more, since that was my last one..... So, how do I burn it right, what do I need to do to my drive pre-install-wise, what's some good tips? ect. be back in 30! EDIT: also, does OSX have a problem with Broadcom 43XX cards like linux does? happycar Posted February 1, 2008 Share Posted February 1, 2008 If you boot the installer DVD in verbose mode what does it say? Press F8 when booting to DVD and enter "-v" without the quotes. Then we can see why it is hanging. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
