MAC VIRUS

Any operating system, and I do mean any. Can be infected by a virus, it depends as much if not more on the user and set-up than the OS. That said *nix o.s.'s (including Mac OS) are more resistant to infection because of the way they implement user level authority. Basically any program or command that you "authorise" to run, can do nasty things to your computer if the programmer was malicious or the person typing at the terminal is careless with their syntax. That said the Apple OS is difficult and occupies only a very small install base and so avoids most malicious attacks, and malicious software development. I personally don't run a Anti-virus program, but remember anytime I type in my "root" password to run or authorise a program I could be exposing my system. If you don't feel comfortable with this McAfee makes a good antivirus for the Apple OS.
